About Me

Hi 👋

First of all, I’m happy to welcome you on my website and I hope that information that you find here will be useful. You probably would like to know a few more personal things about me, that’s why you clicked on that About link 😊

I’m currently in my late 30’s, blessed to live this life with a wonderful wife, our 3 kids 👧🏼 👦🏼 👶🏼 and a cat 🐈. We live in the Seattle area 🇺🇸 where we moved from Moscow 🇷🇺 in 2012, and during that time the family was smaller, so we grew it up significantly since then.

There are several things that I really enjoy doing. I’m passionate about tech and open source, specifically - Embedded Linux and IoT and my love to tech and programming began with my very first computer - ZX Spectrum clone called Delta-S (Дельта-С in Russian) which I got on my 8th birthday. Of course I played lot’s of games, but then curiosity on how to get an infinite life or more resources sparked my interest to programming. I also like aviation and airplanes 🛩. When I was a kid, I used to build lots of model planes both flying and non-flying. On the active side of things I like running 🏃🏼 road cycling 🚴🏻 and alpine skiing ⛷, but also enjoy lots of other activities. Check my Strava for more details. One fun fact - I used to be a snowboarder for 5 or 6 seasons before I met my wife (a very good skier) and then she convienced me to switch to skis 😂
